Why work on location?

What will you love about location recording? Working on location has lots of benefits for customers over traditional recording studio sessions.

The location itself plays a huge part in the sound of the recording. All rooms have unique acoustics, which can compliment or enhance particular instruments and musicians.

Larger ensembles such as choirs and orchestras benefit from the extra space afforded by large venues. Very few modern recording studios can facilitate large numbers.

Players can be more comfortable in familiar surroundings leading to more natural performances.

It can be difficult to fit a decent sized audience in a recording studio! If you wish to capture your ‘live sound’ you can select a venue to accommodate an audience.

Mixing of the music is done by the musicians and/or conductor at the time of recording. Once the recording is completed, most of the work is done, meaning the process is much quicker than studio multi-track recording. As a result, it’s more time and cost efficient.

By using our service, you don’t have to sacrifice the quality of the recording. You will have access to high end professional equipment/tools and an experienced recording engineer.

Who are we?

Silver Disc Sound was started in 2023 by Gaz Dupes. After many years in the recording industry, working in studios across the UK and having worked with hundreds of artists across a range of styles and genres, Gaz decided to get out of the studio and on to the road. We are now serving all your location recording needs across the North West, Greater Manchester and Cheshire.
