How It Works

1) Get in touch - tell us who you are and about your project.

2) Pay the deposit - secure your date and get it in the calendar.

3) We’ll see you there - we’ll bring everything you will need to capture your amazing performance.

You can download our free pdf here to help you prepare for the day. If you would like to receive guidance on choosing a space for recording or have any other questions, then use the contact page to reach out.

More Info:

1) Before booking.

We’ll need to know a few things about your project:

  • What kind of group you’re in (choir, orchestra, brass band, jazz group etc).

  • How long, in minutes, your recording is likely to be.

  • Where you’re located, the building you plan to use and some info on it (church, community centre, castle, garage)

  • Site access information (parking etc.).

2) On the day.

We arrive on site and load in our equipment. Set up and sound checks take approximately an hour. During this time, musicians can get comfy and rehearse their pieces. The next 2 hours are used for recording the project, in whatever way has been discussed beforehand.

For pop/rock n roll/folk groups where each individual needs attention, the set up will be longer, but it is essentially the same process. We arrive on site, find out where people are going to be/where they sound best. Set up the equipment and do sound checks. Make sure everyone can hear themselves and see each other. Use the available recording time, as discussed prior to booking.

The last hour we use to pack down and exit the venue. Any transfers of files that have been agreed can be done during this time.

3) Post Production / Mixing.

If post production and mixing is required, the recordings will be taken back to our mix room where post production/mix prep is completed. The first mix will be made and sent for checking via email. We supply 1 revision as part of the service. If any revisions are needed, they will be completed and sent.
